Male and female?

Yesterday I found out that the Viejita's I have are actually Mcmasteri's. No problem to me but now I am not sure if the female is really a female or a male also.
The male follows the female and tries to impress her with sideways bodymovements and spreading his finns (I'm not sure if the description is right, I am Dutch so my English is not very good) and also the color and pattern from the male is much brighter.
The fish are still young so maybe that's why it's hard t tell?
But maybe anyone can tell me if I got it right that the first url shows the female and the second the male?

Sorry to say but for me, both are males.

The bright coloration around the face and coloured caudal fin are indicative of males (although with some domesticated strains you can see some of this coloration inthe female). Female should have yellowish body coloration with black edges to the trailing ventrals.

Sorry to tell you but you have bought two males!!

The females are much smaller, usually a gray colour in the shop but yellow with black markings when in breeding colouration. They usually have shorter fins and the Pelvic fins have black markings..The pic below is one of my female macmasteri in broodcare colouration.
