I have a few odds and ends that managed to survive the last Peru shipment from...

Anyway, I'd like to get these fish paired up or get them into the hands of someone who has them-either way-as I'd hate to see these guys live their lives out in solitude.

Looking for:
Apistogramma bitaeniata curutu FEMALES
Apistogramma sp. Black Chin MALE(S)

Thanks,
Jeff

Hope you don't mind if I piggy-back onto this, Jeff. I also have a lone A. bitaeniata shushupe male from (I believe) the same shipment. I had a line on more a while back, but the contact isn't returning my emails... Never seen these available other than imports, so I'm not optimistic, but if anyone has a female or two I would certainly be interested.

By the way, I enjoyed your talk when you came to MAS. I was pleasantly surprised since the club is usually all about Rift Lake cichlids...

I've got a small black chin male that is out on loan (stud services) right now. He will be back in May, after I get a couple of spawns out of him, we can work something out.

I enjoyed the trip as well! Thanks for having me over. The show was also a lot of fun.

Highjake away! And good luck tracking down a female or two.

I think I have a female A. bitaeniata Curutu...one of the 3 that made it has a more yellow cast and a thicker black leading edge on the ventrals. I moved all three fish into a breeding set up so now I'll have to wait and see.

On a different but related note-in with the few A. sp. Oregon that made it are a handful of really nice bitaeniata. The dominat male is bright blue with a striking tail pattern. It looks like I have a trio plus one or two more fish on these guys. Once they get moved (waiting for an open tank) I'll try to get some pictures of them.

That would be great! Wild or captive raised? Not that it matters much.

F1. Parents came from Amazon Tropicals. If you do a google image search for "Apistogramma schwarzkinn", the first two results are the father. He's since passed. It will be a couple of months, just so you know.
