I know this thread is a bit old by now, but i just browsed through aquarium glasers archieve and saw this nannostromus.
Maybe yours are some form of these. Nannostromus erythrurus.

Well - i was 'talking' to someone abut this on another forum and he said that most classified erythrurus as a form of trifs and it was only recently that glasser started to reclassify them as erythrurus again - so in that sense they might all be triffs despite the colour differences.Yeah! I see more red in yours, but otherwise i can’t see much difference. That’s why I said “some form of”.
But I don’t see them everyday like you do. So you probably see something I don’t.

Next project?The genus Nannostomus need a major re-work. Many of the species are certainly multiple species.
