Lighting dwarf cichlid tank

Hi guys I have a gold ram ( did have two but one died ) I have put it in my 30 g long tank with my angel fish and clown loach what lighting should I use and what other dwarf cichlids can I put in with them tia

The fish don't need much light, they may in fact feel more secure when there is not much light in a tank.
Lighting is usually there for the benefit of the observer. Well, unless it is a planted tank of course, then the light required depends on the type of plant kept

Clown loach is not a good tank mate for dwarf American cichlids. Different water requirements, gets far too large, and tends to bully and pick scales. Dwarves ussually do well with angels but rams can sometimes be un-settling for angels. Six or seven small apistos, two males and the rest females will be ok. With the angels aggassizi work well. Angels can also be bullies so watch whatever you put in to be sure they are not getting nipped.
