One of my 55gal sprang a leak. Can anybody suggest a brand of silicone glue I can get fron Lowes or Home Depot. I found many, but I am not sure if they are safe for the fish or strong enough for a 55gal tank.

thanks

Use any brand of 100% silicone. Just make sure it is 100% silicone and doesn't have any other additives-mold inhibitor, etc. Use sharp razor blades to remove all the old silicone in the leaky area, or even strip the whole tank to make sure a different spot doesn't start leaking. Then use acetone to wipe down the cleaned area before you seal it with the new silicone. Let the tank sit for at least 2 days before water testing the tank so the silicone has a chance to cure. (I've heard that waiting several weeks is better, but I have no 1st hand proof of this and I've resealed a lot of tanks and used them with in a few days in many cases.)

Generally the anti-mould type is for kitchens and bathrooms (maybe the window one as well).
