Keeping female Borellii together?

Hi all, I expect this has been covered but couldn’t find a thread. I wanted to know if it’s possible to keep multiple Borellii females together (no male). I’ve got 6 surviving fry growing up (about 1 cm now, can’t tell sex yet) and don’t want more breeding, so I was thinking about setting up a second “sorority” tank. The main tank is a 60 gallon low (4 feet long x 18” wide) with heavy cover and I’m going to attempt to keep a couple of males in it (if they can’t establish separate territories I will re-home as necessary).

In any case, I’m hoping that the answer is yes because I was absolutely forbidden to get another tank by my wife until the miracle of life unfolded and I now have permission!

You should have no problem. They will fight some but rarely will it become problematic. Having a half dozen should allow for any aggression to be spread among the group. However, always remember that each fish has an individual personality and there are exceptions to every Apisto keeping rule.
