...or is anybody else seeing HTML tags instead of the effects they're supposed to do? I understand the issue with off-site images, but if disabling one tag means disabling them all, why does it seem a lot of people are still using them?

Perhaps there's a user preference option I've missed (though both BBCode and HTML are enabled under my profile...)?

html and bbcode is now re-enabled. :wink:

If users posting images will use good judgement and post images at a reasonable size they will stay enabled.

If users post extremly large size images and / or unauthorized links to pictures that do not belong to the poster, ALL tags will be disabled.
