What color is healthy java moss supposed to be? The java moss I purchased some time back was a light brown and continues to be that color. However, I sometimes see it at the LFS as more of a light green.

Its supposed to be green. Is it getting enough light ? Are you using CO2. I have noticed it really dont do much without some CO/2 enhancement of some kind.

It is supposed to be green, if yours is brown, it must be decaying and dead. :frown:

No co2 necessary for java moss, and it will grow in very low light conditions.
