Thanks to Mark Breeze I managed to get a small group of these wonderfull cichlids. I'm delighted with them. They're now entering adulthood and I'm hoping to get them to breed.

So I'm asking to whom has been succesful in breeding the species for the water parameters (pH, coductivity and temperature) on wich they were happy! :biggrin:

I leave a video of my specimens so you won't acuse me of not sharing anything:

These fish are from the middle Rio Negro, so they are an 'in country' fish. I doubt that the aquarium hobby in Brazil is as developed as in Europe, North America and Asia. This means that the more rare species are not sold commercially. You need to talk to you dealers - or better, take a vacation to Manaus!
