my new apisto viejita male is being pushed into one corner by my adult Apisto Cacatuoide male.
is it just becuase the viejita is younger and is their away to stop it.

both species are kinda similar in finneage and colors, so they treat each other as competition. they may have different "signaling code", which leads to misunderstandings and fights.
2 males is always tricky. 3-4 is better, the aggression of the dominant cannot concentrate on just one rival. that is, if the tank is big (long) enough.
