I agree with apisto-nut. It shows the blue patch on the corner of the mouth, typical of agassizii-lineage species.

Mike this specimen looks exactly like the pic in the DATZ book of
apsito. pulchra (Rio Aripuana ) , would it be safe to say that is what it is or
is there color differences within the same populations/river area ?

If you don't know exactly where it came from, then don't put a population name to it. Just call it A. pulchra.
