Hello everyone
I was recently at the LFS and came across a tank of cichlids that were marked as Bolivian Blue Ram cichlids. They were all pale in color, and very cute, but clearly not Rams at all. I figured that they were probably some sort of other apisto since they were so tiny (about an inch) and took 3 home. However, after about a week, they suddenly got their color back and developed tell-tale signs of being anything BUT a harmless apisto, such as chasing each other endlessly around the tank. I was worried that I might have gotten juvenile jack dempsey, but now they seem to be blue acara.
I still don't know much about the apistos, and they are generally very peaceful to the fish that are in the tank right now (a little mean to each other, but there are no torn fins or injuries from their chases), so I don't want to weed out the fact that they might be some breed of apisto that I'm not aware of, so if anyone has any ideas or knows exactly what these little guys are, please let me know
