Well, they certainly are NOT A. cruzi. They do not even look like a member of the eunotus-complex to which A. cruzi belongs. The bottom fish appears to have stripes in the caudal fin; does it? More photos of the fish in fright/sleep colors would help. Also would help to know if these are wild caught or domestic raised fish.
Thanks you for your help.
I tried to make some new photos of male with different lighting and mood maybe it help. Fish unfortunately are still very shy and difficult to photograph.
Male has on caudal fin something like fine vertical stripes (or regular dots?) (more visible on new photos). As far as I know is domestic raised in Czech republic.
I still cannot give a name to these fish. They show nothing really diagnostic. Actually, they show some mixed features and features not seen on species in the wild. It is possible that these are a mix of 2 different species or highly inbred fish with odd features. If you really want more help, I suggest that you catch the fish in a net and photograph the fish while in the net. They will be frightened and show their dark markings.
