How to start breeding in hard water?

Thanks Mike, I'll make sure not to do that again, she is still extremely yellow and still in the cave (there is one egg left), so hopefully she will lay some more.

Would i need to use RO water for every water change? The tank is only 30 litres, so assuming not, then 25 litres of RO water should last me a few water changes if i mix it 1:1 with tap. I wont be installing my own RO exchange as not sure the wife would allow that and we only have indoor taps in kitchen and bathrooms anyway, plus we are on a meter so would be paying for the waste water too.

Would it be helpful to buy another female and see if i have any luck with two in there? I have recently bought a small nano tank which i could move a female over to if needed. I heard sometimes it helps to have two to distract the male from chasing just one all the time and to induce spawning due to competition. Not sure if that is the case with Hongsloi though.
