How to feed frozen food

I am curious (my name is george) about how everybody feeds their fish frozen foods. Do you you thaw it out all the way part way? Do you cut the cubes up or drop them whole? I realize alot has to do with fish size and number of fish. Also how do you put the food in the tanks...do you just drop it in, use a feeder circle, turn of all ariation and filters...etc.

I know this is a silly question, but I feel thet I can always learn more by asking.

thanks

I rarely feed frozen foods. I prefer live food, flake food and freeze-dried foods (in that order). When I do feed frozen I thaw the food completely and rinse it in a brine net to wash away the organic waste in the liquid. That stuff just pollutes the tank.

Freeze dried is better because studies have shown that the freeze drying process preserves more nutrients (which I assume are lost in the liquid of frozen foods). I rehydrate the freeze dried foods until they will sink, and then they are just like frozen foods.

When I refer to frozen food I am talking about commercial frozen food, not made at home frozen foods.

Ted what do you mean rehydrate and how do you do that if I may ask?

thanks

I rehydrate freeze-dried foods by soaking them in warm water until they sink. Sometimes I have to put the now wet food in a brine net and squeeze the water out of them to compress air out of it, then the food will sink.
