How many or how big?

New to this forum and to keeping apistogramma, so I need some advice.

Wanting to setup a 60 gallon cube tank ( 24x24x24) and was wondering about how many cacatuoides I could keep.

Looking to make it a community tank .
Stocking ideas are ,venezuelan orange cory x5, kubotai Rasboras x6 and possibly are small group of endlers.

Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I would suggest a single male - while you have a lot of water it is mostly wasted in the veritical dimension. The floor space isn't that great esp for a larger dwarf cicihld with the short vertical.

Also all the fishes you listed are softwater fishes 'cept the endlers which prefer water a bit harder. You might consider pymgy cory who could use the lower mid range with the kubotai rasbora at the top and cockatoo with the venezuelan cory at the bottom.

G. pygmaeus fit in the mouth of an A. cacatuoides, which usually ends fatally for both. Thus I would't mix them.
I slso agree, a single male Apistogramma is all that will work in those tank dimensions.

OK, thanks. Any suggestions as to some apistogramma that will do better in hard water. I don't have my heart set on any of the other fish in that list, so feel free to make some suggestions as I'm here to learn before I spend a ton of money.

cockatoo is as good as any other in hard water - they just won't live as long. Macs might be ok. I mean in truth none of these fishes really like hard water but domestic don't lkive that long anyways.
