Looking to have an all Apisto tank...how many for a 75 gallon? Are there species that will get along better than others. Is there somewhere on this forum that has "cookie cutter" ideas for Dwarf Cichlid tanks?
For me, depends on the complex. The A. agassizi I have in a 75, only a single pair will work. I tried a trio and the second female was chased relentlessly and needed to be removed from the tank. The A. sp schwarzkinn "black chin" I have in a 75, I have a single male with four females; all four females have fry, at the same time, with very little issues. Surely someone else has some good experiences or insight they will share, and with some of the "why"s that might answer your question more thoroughly.
