Listen i have been into cichlis for over 15 years, now i know the hemichromis is a tough group, and i have had over six types, but the moanda, heal the fastest, they grow back there fins, faster then and other fish i ever had, and they grow back fins other fish can't.

Welcome to good genes! Keeping fish that are wild caught or at least not that far removed, generationally speaking, makes a world of difference.

That said, the genetic mix most hybrids contain can make for some incredibly durable fish as well! They may not heal as cleanly but they sure are tough and prolific animals.
