Help with moss identification please...

Hi.

Being maturing my new Discus display tank in my living for a few months now and have what I assume is moss growing on the bogwood. Wondered if anyone can Id it please.
It's quite attractive but I've no idea what it is or where it's come from, though assume its sneaked in with other plants or wood.

Only moss I've knowingly added myself to the tank is java.

It is a green algae, rather than a moss. I really like it.

I'm about to upgrade my lights so hoping doesn't effect it as I am rather liking it and curious to see how it develops.

The green algae belong to the <"same clade"> as all the higher plants and have the same photosystems and basic physiology, which means that conditions that suit the green algae also suit the rest of your plants.

Hopefully it should look like this once it has grown a bit (<from "UKAPS: Algae heritage">).

I wish I had these algae instead of cyanobacteria, black beard algae and hair algae. You are very lucky.

Maybe one of the Cladophora species, similar to the "moss ball" algae?
