I can't remember if I have ask for help with this fish before. If I did I did not write it down. For some reason I have only this one picture. It is of a fish I collected in the Orinoco Delta region in 1997. 2024_12_21_13_10_37.pdf000.jpeg

I have very strong doubts that this fish is from the Orinoco let alone from the Orinoco delta!
I have added a bit of contrast to the picture:

Of course, it is not possible to be 100% sure from such a picture but my guess is that your fish is A. norberti.
The features that make me think so are: the pattern of the caudal fin, the dark area/elongated blotch in the posterior lower part of the dorsal fin, the slightly zigzag abdominal stripes, the narrow suborbital stripe, the yellow/orange lips and the body shape.

Does a. norberti have a black line down the middle ?

I think you are right Frank. The shape of the caudal also suggests norberti. It is very possible that the picture of the Peru trip where I collected norberti some how got in with my Venezuela pictures. Very much appreciate your conclusion.
