i am plannin on starting a tank(29 gallons) with a male and female apisotgramma morado...i am brand new to EVERYTHINg and would appreciate any suggestions on tank mates, setup and even if this isjust a bad idea
use the search feature on this website to find other threads about morado. i haven't kept them (or seen them in australia for that matter) but from what i've read, aggression is the only real problem with them. so i would imagine they need a lot of cover and cavework, hideyholes etc, a quiet, small dither fish that stays near the surface (white cloud mountain minnows, for example).
have you kept other dwarfs before? it may not hurt to cut your teeth on a more well-known species.
Gives you some tips . Also go an google the fish name and you will find lots of information on them. I have not kept them and it seems on the readings that they are more agressive than others. If you live in SYD call Aquapets in bondi junction or B and C aquariuys, they stock up on a lot of imported Apistos.
