Help me id this apisto...PLEASE

Hi guys i picked up what i thought were a trio of these apistos about two months ago. It now seems i have 1 stunning male and two subdominent males.. So it does'nt look like ill be breeding them.
The were sold to me as Hongsloi but they certainly dont look like them to me..i have'nt yet bought the cichlid atlas vol1 +2 so cant really check properly and an internet search would take hours.
Ill leave it in the hands of the experts and see if you can tell me what i wont be breeding lol....

Looks like A. hoignei to me....

Could be A. hoignei or even A. macmasteri, but I would need more photos to be certain.

Hi Ste,
If these were picked up from Neil at Pier Aquatics they were labelled up as Hoignei and were brought in via Asia but they are wild Venezuelan fish....
I also picked some up myself at 3.50each...

Hi all thanks for the info.. Microman(Mark) hi, yes they were from Pier...so you got all the females eh!! To be honest there wasnt much difference in sexes as they were small, neil just picked a certain male and two smaller fish. Oh well thats the fun in buying apistos, I dont suppose you picked up any spare females on your trip did you?? I keep ringing to see what new stock he's got but at the minute theres nothing at all in, just as well really as theres not much room left in my tanks.
I'll send you a message anyway about picking up these 'Steelblue' and dates/times..Cheers again fellas.
