Hi all, I just signed up but I'm by no means new to fish. I've only had a few apistos in the past, but I plan on getting more. Currently I have a trio of apistogramma borelli "steel blue". However, I think they're all male. Trying to find some females and hopefully breed them. I'm also contemplating turning an empty bedroom into a small fish room with several pairs of different apistos. :)

FYI - the aquarium strain called "steel blue" (your avatar picture) is NOT A. borellii, although it may be sold under that name. Steel blue is probably a hybrid of A. resticulosa and A. caetei, or other related species in the "regani species-group". A. borellii is in a different species-group. Female steel blues are hard to find.
