Personally, if it were my tank I would add about 8 more hatchetfishes. These are schooling fish that do better in larger schools. Your angelfish will probably be eating pencilfish in a few months.

I try my best and the more people there are in the UK into dwarfs the more different fish there will be available here. So I do try to take a personal interest in any posts from the UK.

But thank you very much for you nice comments.

What pencils did you get?

You could also add some more pencils and in about 6 months get some otos to do some algae cleaning.

meseydave,

WELCOME TO THE FORUM

When Mike suggests that your angel might make a snack of your pencils, it is not a function of your angel"s disposition with other fish. Once angels (or most Cichlids) mouths are big enough to swallow a certain live food, they likely will. Keeping them well fed may help, but placing tankmates that won't fit in their mouths is the best solution.
