Gifted fish identification please.

Hello everyone.

This fish was given to me by my LFS as it came with some cacatoides that all sold and this one didn’t. It’s been alone for at least 3 months and they had no clue on id, he said you may as well take it.

Any id’s would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou

Difficult to tell without any black markings or at least some color. However, based on body shape and finnage my guess would be A. macmasteri "Gold".

For a hot minute I thought it was an Mbuna. But I agree, only domestic macmasteri hsve this colouration.

Thankyou fishy folk that’s great to know , I won’t have to adjust anything. I’m really surprised he had zero markings at all. It was like this in the shop before being moved so it’s not a stress thing.

Another day and a bit more colour. He’s eating well and has claimed a space inbetween a large Anubias and and a buce.
