Greetings gang! One of my tanks is a 29 gal with eco-complete gravel, a few peices of Malasian driftwood, clay flowerpot caves, rocks and oak leaves that were boiled for several minutes before introducing to the tank. It also has several anubias and two crinums. I am keeping a colony of A trifaciata - 3 males 5 females as well as 3 Amano shrimps. I noticed two weeks ago that almost transparent fungus had started growing on the driftwood. It would be extremely hard to see, if not for its surface attracting/adhering a light powdering of fine substrate/mulm. I decided to leave it be and see what happens. It is growing steadily and causing concern. I have read that fungus is really bad for eggs and it is unsightly too. Any suggestions about what to do about this fungus? Maybe it is a different species than the ones notorious for attacking eggs? Are there animals that would eat it?
Thanks,
Dave
