This fish was sold to me as a krib. Please help me identify what he is. Thx

A big fat Nannacara anomala. All of the photos show a male.

How can a nannacara anomala get that fat? I've had mine for 3 years now and feed him all he wants but he stays skinny as can be - he also has a bit more 'shine' to hiimself. Lovely fish.

Fish can be of otherwise great health while having tapeworms...
No, seriously, I'd presume lots of dry foods with far too much carbs (grains) and fishmeal. Last thing you want to feed your fish. Fillers are a sign of low quality in dry foods.

Well mine gets bug bites mostly which he seems to like - also he was locally tank bred so chances of parasite are very low though it is always possible something was introduced. Having said that the Laetacara araguaiae are nice of fat but i think that is a species thing.

Probably fat due to over-feeding.
