That is the female. Looks like the spots on the top half of the male's caudal fin in teh pot to the right..??

Dear Digital,

It appears that the retailer is mistaken. Although the photo shown in your link is a bit blurry, she sure looks like a female to me, and a beautiful one at that. I tried to view the second photo, as per your instructions, but the original one kept on coming up.

If you'd like a male and the retailer has any of them left, pick out one with pointed pelvic fins, where the first ray is the longest. From my experience, some retailers don't always do the best job with ID and sexual dimorphism.

A Second Look

Dear Digital,

Looking at your photo again, what's the fish in the flower pot? Only a section of the caudal fin is visible. If it's a Pelv. taen. "Moliwe," like Ted said, it could be a male.
