female not sleeping in cave

My A Eliza female seems to hover just outside the male's cave at night. There are plenty of other hiding spots, so i am not sure what is going on. She was recently introduced to the tank, so maybe she is trying to take the cave from the male (it is the same type of cave as she claimed in her old tank - a small flower pot cut in half.) The other caves in this tank are slate and wood.

Is this strange? The male seems to have recently developed nips around his tale and pelvic fins....so there is some aggression happening, but never in front of me where he is always the clear boss of the tank. She has not yet fully taken to him, and there is no mating/spawning that i can see.

I just wish she would find a nice cave and go to sleep.....

hmm, ... not all apistos love to stay and sleep inside a cave. I recently took some photos of my apistos at 4am when all apistos were sleeping. Please take a look at:
http://aquariumfarm.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=39577

From the photos, these are my apistos which do not prefer
sleeping inside a cave even though there're more
than enough caves for them to stay if they like :)

Cheers :)
