Hi
Can someone help i bought this ebr 2 week ago it was in our other tank with another ebr
but it was being chased silly which caused it to get what we think white spot
it is now in a quarantine tank and has been treated for white spot with temp 86 salt and tetra medica (general tonic) for over a week and nothing seems to be working and also it breathing fast.
Not sure if this is due to the temp of the tank can someone try to identify what this problem is

Hi temp water needs a lot of surface movement and airation. The warmer the water the less oxygen it holds.

As for treating white spot, here is a good article to read, Understanding and Treating Ich or White Spot .

Iv got the air stone set to full do you think that will do.

And do you think its a bad case of white spot (ich) or could it be something else ?

Readings are:

Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrite 5
Ph 6.7

Hi all,
It is definitely "white spot", and it is quite bad, you need to treat it asap for your EBR to have any hope of survival. In the UK I'd use "ESHa exit" it is widely available and effective.

When one of my fish get Ich, I use a very strong (and carcinogenic to the hobbyist!) mixture of Malachite Green and Formalin along with high temps. It require regular water changes every day and destroys plants and inverts, but it is very effective.
