The dario dario are absolutely stunning. Females are really difficult to find here in the states. Great pick of the differences of male / female too.

When I first got Dario dario I bought at least 20 fish before I got a female!
Lost a lot keeping them in soft acid water
Pretty good at picking the sexes now....and no casulaties since I revised the water chemistry
Mine will only take live food....and overfeeding is not a Good idea

I have three Dario dario in my 7 gallon tank with some Danio erythromicron and dwarf shrimps.
From what I have read Dario dario rather prefers neutral to alkaline water while hardness is not a key factor (3-15 degrees).
Wanted to have 1+2 but it seems that I have three females. Will search for a male but these species are very hard to get here.

Hi all,
I really like these, the lower photo does look like a male D. hysginon. I've still not found a female of either D. dario or D. hysginon for sale in the UK.
