Difference between Nijsenni & Panduro

Hi, can anyone tell me the difference between A. Nijsenni & A. Panduro? Both species looks extremely similar and some books and LFS often classify them the same usually as Nijsenni.

The males are much easier, for me, than the females. I have a tought time with ID'ing fems of most like species...

The male panduro has a large black area near his tail that extends into his tail whereas the nijsseni has only a black caudal "spot" where his body and his tail meet.

The female panduro has more of a black cheek stripe and the nijsseni is more of a blotch. It also appears that the black caudal spot tapers into more of a point farther into the tail of the panduro. The nijsseni is more rounded and doesn't extend far into the actual tail.

Cichlids1 is correct. The Nijsseni male has a round black spot in the caudal area whereas in the Nijsseni it is more of a triangle with the point facing the tail. The female Nijsseni has a round black lateral spot but the Panduro female has a verticle black blotch that extends from the belly upward a little past the lateral line.
