Hi! Today I noticed that my D.Filamentosus has layed eggs. I'm very happy, but I don´t know if I should try to move the two males. The tank is 54 liters and are heavily planted. There are one female and two males.
I think you should consider moving the males. First of all, the father will possibly guard the territory for a while, but he will probably become ready to spawn again sooner than the female, which can cause problems. If you had them in a bigger tank where the male could have a harem with several females, this would take some of the preassure off the broodcaring females. I think moving the males, or at least the one who isn't the father, will give you the best result! Good luck, this is not the easiest of Dwarf Cichlids to breed, so congratulations!
