Deoinized water

I was going to buy distilled water and add back hardness ( but keep it really soft) then my water would turn out around neutral, which would be perfect for my borelli. I saw this sheap deionizer kit that attaches to tap. Would this be just fine instead of going to buy distilled water?

to some extent you get what you pay for
generally DI media is exhaustable quickly and expensive to replace, check the costs of that and lifetime in gallons/litres etc before commmiting to it

generally r/o is the solution
runa search on the forum there was a long discussion about sources of cheap r/o kits
canadian ebay store? i think got good reviews by members
