I was able to get to the CCA meeting only because I had to be in Baltimore this evening. I want to thank Ted for such and informative talk. I had a good time and it was nice to meet him in person .

Ted, Thank you! I learned quite a bit

I hear the talk was excellent and many folks learned a lot. I on the other hand was stuck in downtown Baltimore being snubbed by rude cops which was far less enlightening than your talk...arrrgghhggg. On a good note though I did learn something in the last five minutes I was able to attend. Thanks for taking a few moments afterwards to answer my questions on those darn frustrating pencil fish of mine.

Hopefully you'll come back to either the CCA or the ACLC and I'll make a point of not taking any mapquest directions to get there!

I'm off to make one of those little breeding boxes and am very anxious to see if it's successful for me.

It's a box that Ted makes for egg scatterers. Really neat design. He may have pics to post of it.

It's a plastic container for the base. Then he takes some of the craft plastic mesh (the stuff they use with yarn to make kleenex box covers). He cuts it larger than the container so that you have to bend it into an arch and put it in the base container. He ties yarn to the mesh kinda hook rug style so that it's about 3 inches in length. It look like grass when it's done. Boy I hope he has pics because I don't think I'm describing this very well. Anyway. He places the box in the tank and then after a few days removes the box with eggs into a hatch out tank. Really neat and much easier than catching a bunch of tetras and moving them.

I'm sure he has pics somewhere but I couldn't fine them on his site. Perhaps he can point you in the right direction.
