where in conn. are you located. i am about 10 min from providence i don't have a green thumb with my plants but there is a great little lfs in prov. that has all sorts of plants, more than any other store that i have seen. i can give you directions if you are close enough or if not i could put you in touch with the owner. he sells fish on aquabid so he would probably be willing to ship plants as well. you can pm or e-mail me if you are interested. sorry i can't do better than that.
ok, if you're coming in to RI on 95 north take 195 east when you get into prov. take the 2nd exit (only about 1/4 mile) Wickenden St. go left off the exit under the overpass. you're gonna go straight through 2 stoplights and it will be on your right hand side on the corner of wickenden and Hope st. The name is Aqualife aquarium and it has an underwater mural painted on it. the owner is george and him and his wife irene are always there. they are both really helpfull. good luck finding the place and i hope you can get what you're looking for.
Thanks! My buddy works in Providence, and says he knows just where you're talking about. I really like checking out shops in other areas. I've been looking for some nice rainbow fishes as well! Thanks again!
i was there earlier today buying CBW's and they got a bunch of new plants on tuesday night. i don't remember what they had for rainbows. they do have some really pretty P. humilis that the owner bred.
Just got back from there Scott....thanks! I picked up some java moss, java fern, and najas as well. There were a few fish there that I thought were pretty cool, but i'm going to see a friend on Monday, about some A. viejita, and some Pt nyete, so I passed. I visit friends here in RI pretty often, so i'm going to make that shop a regular part of the trip! Thanks again.......
that's the best one but RI aquarium is about 5 min away on north main st and they have alot of fish as well.not many dwarves last time i was there though.
