can anyone ID this?

I saw this fish labeled as a German Blue Ram, but it is obviously not. I thought it might be an apisto, but I really don't know.

It has already established fairly large territory, and sifts sand with its mouth, and is approximately 1.5 - 2 inches long.

As you said, it´s not a M. ramirezzi (nor M. altispinosus).

It seems to be an Apistogramma, but due to the poor quality of the pics, I can´t say anything more.
