Woke up this morning to about 20 or more free swimming cacatouides fry. But on close inspection, they look like they still might have their egg sacks on them? I haven't fed brine in that tank in at least 12 hours but probly closer to 24. Don't think they should have brine in their tummies. Should I hold on on feeding brine for a day or so or should I feed my normal brine portion to this tank? Thanks in advance :)

Mike, have you ever reared ram fry without the parents? Any tricks or tips you could share? Since we're on the topic of brine shrim... Read a few other threads on here that said to use infrouia stuff.

You will definitely need infusoria as a first food. I never bred this species artificially (I'm a lazy aquarist!), only with 1 or 2 parents. I haven't tried breeding them since the 80s. Too many really rare, interesting, odd (and ugly) dwarfs out there.
