Breeding in big verse small tanks

Why is it that my triple red cacatuoides prefer to breed in a specie
tank of 10 gals verse practically a specie tank of 75 gal(this tank
has 4 white cloud minnows). I don't get it they have more room
more shells/pots to choose from. This tank(75 gal) is overgrown
with vegatation so plenty of places to hide. I just don't understand?

Water are the water parameters compared to the smaller tank?

The water parameters are about the same, give or take a couple of
points in the ph. But I keep them both between 5.8 - 6.3 ph which
is low enough for my cacatuoides to breed.
