I counted 28 fry....from one of the pics I'm glad I don't have to keep baibes in my mouth, kind of hard to eat. How long do they "hold" them for? If more than a week Mom must be very hungry when she is one.
Guess what oupsy I've now got some fry myself and they are doing well. Where these fish are easier to spawn or that they are in a 5 tank I don't know and the male is not being overly aggressive either
The male, in my case is hidden somewhere in the tank.
He gets severely beaten as soon as coming out, there's no way he can come close to the fry. Even now that they are 1.5cm.
Wished i could have removed him for his safety, he s just lucky the tank is very heavily planted (reason why i couldn t catch him without messing up the whole tank and endanger the fry).

Here is the latest development (photo taken on 12 Dec); after
counting, there are in total 35 fry (to my surprise!!) and they are
all swimming and hunting for food independently now.
