i have 2 apistogramma borellis in my tank. theyre the first cichlids ive kept and ive had them for about 2 months and theyre doing great. theyre both about an inch long and im having trouble telling if i have 2 females or a pair. one im almost sure is a female as it is slightly smaller, completely yellow with blak markings around its eyes and on the first ray of its dorsal fin. the other one is what im confused about as it is slightly bigger, deeper bodied, and not nearly as yellow. the head is a duller yellow with a iridescent blue patch below its eye and the rest of the body is a dull gray/bluish color. any help would be great

:biggrin: Hi danisme. I keep borellii mine were small also when I first got them. But are easly sexable The males fins are more pointed and floww back more. It sounds like you have a pr from your description. You can look in the link in my sig here the village photo one and the 3rd 8th and 12th pic are borellii third is female, eighth one is young male, twelvth one is same male. Hope this helps.
