BBS as spawning trigger?

I have a pair of panduros that have been in a tank for nearly a month. They paired up and started picking on 2nd female (removed) very quickly. The female took on a yellow color that rivals what I've seen in my female cac when she's had eggs. Both male and female were in and out of caves and doing "shakey dance" by the third day. Four weeks later and still nothing. They are fed "formula one" as a staple, with blood worms, and brine shrimp as a treat.
I have started feeding live BBS to them, but the volume of shrimp is so small, and most don't get eaten because they spread out. I'm wondering if the shrimp themselves are a significant nutrient source or do they simply act as an environmental stimulus to breed. Any one have any other advice on getting these guys going?

try everything, 1 thing at a time. but a large cooler water change often works. usually the female is ready before the male. he spends his time protecting an area and gets too caught up in agression. a cooler water change will bring his breeding aparatus into proper form.

i have had fish breed quickly after introducing live food esp bbs.
