Apistogramma Wapisana - new Apisto

Evening all members,

I have just received my TFH magazine and on page 96 interesting reading on a new Apisto from Roraima state in Brazil.
It makes a nice read for those who are interested.

It was published by Römer in his Cichlid Atlas II and its former name was A. sp. "Balzfleck (Courting-Spot)"

Yes, I was breeding the little beggars back in 1983 (see my photos at: http://www.cichlidae.com/gallery.php?genus=Apistogramma). Not very pretty but easily kept/spawned in a 5 gallon tank.
