A. sp. Juruá (= A. sp. Cruzeiro A191) is a rare fish both in the aquarium and in the wild. It inhabits blackwater streams entering the Rio Juruá around the western Brazilian city of Cruzeiro do Sul. For breeding, treat it like A. elizabethae - very soft, acid water.
