I made yesterday some nice photos of my A. sp. "Abacaxis" male.

Unfortunately I don't have any photos of females with fry. I have those fishes from 9 days ago and first spawn didn't go smoothly because of renovation in my home. :frown:Amazing looking Apisto. Very beautiful!
I'm wondering what the female looks like as well?
Have you been able to snap any good photos of a female? Or, better yet, female w/ fry??
Tom, is this fish wildcaught? This is a female A. sp. "Abacaxis" with some of her fry...as you see, the fry like BBS.

If I'm not mistaken she has layed egss in last week.Ruki,
Your 'female' has a pattern of spots on the caudal fin. I have never seen a spotted caudal on a female of Abacaxis. Are you sure it is a female??
