I've recently fallen in love with the species and was wondering where people can get these fish. I have seen very little at the moment and any info I can get about where to get them would be appreciated.

Like most Brazilian species, Abacaxis is commercially imported only sporadically, at least in the USA. You just have to be patient and check on-line apisto suppliers regularly.

Are there any supplier in particular you would suggest?

Re-designing and starting a new fish room all over again. This time we'll have many more Apistsogramma species. We are expanding.

Hi,

just in case you happen to live in Germany (or Netherlands): I have a wildcaught female A. psammophila, you could have it for free. I have no use for it anymore.
