I just saw some labeled as such but would like to know for sure since they are rare and would like to have some. I would like to know how to tell they are ortmanni.

True ortmanni are very rare in the hobby. However, A. steindachneri are very often sold in shops as A. ortmanni. Steindachneri ae great fish as well so give them some serious consideration if that is what they are. There is a little more info here http://www.dwarfcichlid.com/Apistogramma_ortmanni.php

If you check them out and believe they are not steindachneri try to post a photo.

Re-designing and starting a new fish room all over again. This time we'll have many more Apistsogramma species. We are expanding.

Hi,

just in case you happen to live in Germany (or Netherlands): I have a wildcaught female A. psammophila, you could have it for free. I have no use for it anymore.
