Females are territorial among each other as well. That kind of behaviour is not limited to males. Actually the worst aggression among Apistogramma I've seen was females on each other.

Okay thanks. Ill head to the store and will add a male. Plus some more hiding spots so they can all have their own territorium.

Remember: Caves won't do, you need sight blocks. Also maybe not the best idea to add another one. Means you'd have to get them all out, rearrange the structure in the tank and then add them all at once. Is it a display or a breeding tank? And what dimensions?

Thanks for the tip! I defenitely will change the tank. The whole tank I bought to have Apistogramma so I will make it work:) it's a display but I would like to breed them someday in a different tank. This tank is 1 meter x 50 x 40

Re-designing and starting a new fish room all over again. This time we'll have many more Apistsogramma species. We are expanding.

Hi,

just in case you happen to live in Germany (or Netherlands): I have a wildcaught female A. psammophila, you could have it for free. I have no use for it anymore.
