If you travel with that suitcase on your person and in the plane cabin. Modern security regulations make that tricky in many countries. I mean... explain to a border controll officer you have live fish in your case and tell the customs officer they are not an endangered or illegal species.
I've never tried it. But I suppose it could work

The suitcase must be checked in as baggage. It will not be allowed on board the plane as carry-on luggage.
All my apistos were brought in like this.

All of this is interesting. Btw about a month ago aquaticclarity had some for sale (they are sold out now) but they were like $250 a pair which is a bit more than i would pay for a dwarf cichild. Having said that i do see them pop up now and then maybe once or twice a year if you keep your eyes et all open.

As for importing things into usa - it is a mess even for hard goods - I had ordered a cpu fan and didn't realize the sender was in china (my mistake) and it only took 4 weeks to get here with 3 of those weeks tied up somewhere (customs?).

Part of the issues is the rules keep changing and no one can keep up with them.

Even people are having trouble at times getting into the usa. It is really a mess and i would strongly recommend folks not try - if you end up in dentition camp you might be stuck there for a long time even if you want to self deport.

Importing fish - even in carry-on baggage - requires an import license and the cost of inspection by US Fish & Wildlife officials. Unless you are bringing in sizable numbers of fish to spread the cost it simply is not worth it anymore.

I looked it up just out of curiosity, it's a tariff of 25% for goods from Kazakhstan into the US and there is no threshold at which worth you have to pay these 25%, so even if the item has a worth of let's say a dollar, you pay a quarter just in tarrifs, plus taxes plus, plus, plus.... you guys over there are really screwedif you want to import anything. o_O

The mother walks her little ones only under the driftwoods. They don’t go out into open areas.

Hi,

just in case you happen to live in Germany (or Netherlands): I have a wildcaught female A. psammophila, you could have it for free. I have no use for it anymore.
