He list his location as Almaty, Kazakhstan so i doubted he purchased them in USA; however aquaticclarity had some listed though the price is quite high for a pair.Where did you get this fish from?
I bought it Bangkok. There it was sold as Atahualpa.Where did you get this fish from?
I agree with you. I don't want to disturb them. Recently, I found a dead male Atahulpa morning, killed by a female guarding the cave. Even though everything had been quiet that evening, I didn't want to disturb them.Sometimes trying to remove the male can disturb the female and then eats the spawn. My philosophy is that as long as no harm is done to either fish, then I don't bother. Your water values should be OK for breeding.
Begs the question: Is it even possible to ship them alive from Kazakhstan to the US? I had a package from Mongolia (musical instrument, so not something time-critical like live fish) wayting at a DHL hub in Kazakhstan for a week before it got shipped to me in Europe.Would love to get some when they are ready.
Didn't realize where ypu lived. Impossible to ship from.there to me in the USA.Begs the question: Is it even possible to ship them alive from Kazakhstan to the US? DHL will definitely not ship live fish to the US. I often receive packages from the US via DHL, USPS, UPS, and other carriers, and delivery usually takes 4-5 days.Begs the question: Is it even possible to ship them alive from Kazakhstan to the US? Yes, live fish & fry way to fragile for a trip like that. To bad. I would have definitely purchased some if your going to sell them. Very hard to find them here in the States. I have not seen any for saleDHL will definitely not ship live fish to the US. I often receive packages from the US via DHL, USPS, UPS, and other carriers, and delivery usually takes 4-5 days.
First, they need to be grown. Shipping them to the US or Europe is problematic. The only way is to carry them in a suitcase.Yes, live fish & fry way to fragile for a trip like that. To bad.
